Luigi
Luigi's Story
We adopted our Vizsla, Sammy in May of this year. Although we always wanted to get a little buddy for Sammy, we were not sure if we were ready for another vizsla yet. We were still working on some little issues Sammy has, when Stephanie called us. She found a playmate for Sammy. After we thought about it for a few days, we decided, why not! She told us she has a vizsla named Luigi that needs to be rehomed, but he has a view issues. Stephanie did not see any of the issues the owner spoke about and thought he was a very sweet boy who just needed to be loved and exercised. Luigi's owner stated he had an eye problem, was aggressive, and uncontrollable, and doesn't care for men. We left for Long Island a week later and met Luigi. He seemed like a sweet boy. We took him home to New Hampshire and are extremely glad we did. He is such a sweet little boy! Although we had a little pecking order going on for almost a week, Sammy and Luigi are getting along very well. They look for each other all the time, love to go out and chase squirrels and chipmunks in the backyard. They even share their rawhide bones, first they get them all gooey and then they trade. I guess they taste better if the other dog chews it first :) Luigi doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he is not aggressive, doesn't bite and does not mark inside the house. He just wants to be loved and hugged. He is hand shy and foot shy, but we are working on that. He will start training classes next week and I am sure he will be the star pupil. Luigi and Sammy are becoming best buddies. Luigi now has the room to run as much as he wants and has a family and a buddy who loves him very much. Thank you Stephanie for thinking of us and giving us a call. We are sooooo glad you did! We love both of our rescues very much. Heidi and Kevin Stewart
